BCELIG to launch in September


The Black Country Emotional Literacy Interest Group (BCELIG) will cover the LEA’s of Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley - an area covering nearly 500 schools in total - and will launch on Thursday Sept 26th in a meeting at Gig Mill Primary School. The group will be supported by The Black Country Schools Improvement Partnership (BCSIP).

Open to:
Head Teachers, Teachers, LEA officers, Services and Colleagues, Administrators, Parents, Health and Social Services etc.

Purpose:

  • To launch BCELIG, eventually linking the group to the NELIG.
  • To develop the understanding of EL and the vital role it plays in shaping the outcomes of teaching and learning.
  • To share good practice and provide a support for all in the Black Country nurturing EL in schools.
  • To help forge the development of an emotionally literate society.
