| Calling
all ELIGs - Get listed at www.nelig.com
Following the success of the 'Friends
of nelig' section of www.nelig.com and
the rise in interest, nationally, in Emotional
Literacy as seen in the number of local
Emotional Literacy Interest Groups (eg,
GELIG in Gloucestershire, WELIG in Wiltshire,
IoWELIG on the Isle of Wight), www.nelig.com
invites all ELIGs to contact the webmaster
for their group to be listed in a new
section of the site.
The planned section,
an extension of the existing 'Friends'
section (groups will be listed under the
heading 'Emotional Literacy Interest Groups'
on the main Friends page), offers groups
the opportunity to publish information
and materials coming out of their work,
in effect offering each group a mini 'sub-site'
of their own. Sumbissions to the webmaster
for publication can be anything from notes
of meetings (see GELIG's submissions here
and here, for example, currently published
as news items) to complete documents or
resources produced (Southampton's own
SELIG will soon be publishing its 'Guidelines
for schools' document within its own sub-site).
This is a further strategy
through which www.nelig.com aims to promote
the development and dissemination of initiatives
and good practice within EL work happening
all over the country (groups outside of
the UK are welcome also, of course). Interest
has already been expressed by both GELIG
and SELIG; these groups will have their
areas developed first and will appear
shortly.
Interested? If
you would like an area of www.nelig.com
for your own group, please contact Colin
Woodcock at c.woodcock@southampton.gov.uk.
